My art teacher is vice principal at my old elementary school. And our guest speakers are my past art and music teacher :) This class is going to be fun. Our teacher asked us to pick out moments that we loved with our teachers. I couldn’t pick just one. I was a teachers pet in elementary school…not so much the other years. But I have always identified teachers as positive role models especially in elementary school. I think most little girls do. As I thought about my teachers, I have great experiences with all of them that I plan on teaching/doing with my students. It’s nights like these when I can’t wait to be a teacher. Days like yesterday however, are not. Just because teaching kids reading is probably the most difficult aspect of being a teacher with all of the different reading levels in every grade. But tonights little boost of inspiration just kicks me back on the track I need to be. So this post is a thank you to all of my teachers who have had an impact on me. I aspire to be like you in the future.
P.S. A favorite memory was when my 5th grade teacher showed us the way of the intestines by using panty hose…and tomato paste. PRETTY VIVID.
