So I’ve composed another list of annoying things customers do.
- Calling me “little girl.” So clearly you have to be at least 16 to work at my store, and clearly 16 year olds still are not little girls. Oh BTW I’m 22, legal age to consume alcohol and cigarettes..and not pass as a “little girl.”
- Saying “OH! You look bored, let me put you to work.” No, I’m not bored. I have lotto and a till to count meanwhile trying to tend to people BUYING lotto and BUYING objects which defeats the purpose of COUNTING lotto and COUNTING my till. 3 mins please, thanks.
- Giving me complaints that are beyond my control. The other day this lady came up to Customer Service in ultimate bitch mode. She had a baby with her and asks “Do you give out balloons to little kids” Ummm clearly, there are 4 on each register but I reply with “Yes, would you like one?” She then proceeds to ask me “If I’m aware we live one block from the beach” YES, YOU IDIOT I CAN SEE IT WHEN I WALK OUT THE FRONT DOOR. “Well are you aware that those balloons end up in the bodies of sea turtles and fish, if you really are as GREEN as you say you are then you’d do something about it” Okay, c’mon now. That is kind of understandable but guess what bitch, kids want balloons and CORPORATE makes sure we blow up 50 of those damn things WHILE trying to take care of customers. So thanks for the condescending tone, no I’m not an idiot, and no, I can’t do anything about it. Have a nice day :)
- The worst thing of all is when old nasty men hit on me and ACTUALLY think I would date them. Um no, first of all, you’re with your girlfriend with a mullet and feathers in her hair asking me if I want to date you. Isn’t that a little rude to your GIRLFRIEND? I don’t CARE if you cook or clean or do whatever you “say” you do. Men are such pigs. I think it gets worse with age.
