Last year I had a goal of reading 50 books. I only read 30. So I am challenging myself again this year to actually hit the 50 book mark. I’ve already read 6 books and am off to a good start. I figured I’d post about them here because it keeps me accountable and I always like seeing what other…
My resolution was something realistic like reading a book a week and not to lose weight because that will never happen, bahaha. But I also read the Hunger Games in less than a week and am obsessed. I really don’t know how to feel but the movies will be crayyy. If you like The Office Mindy Kalings new book is good. “Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me”

HEY glitter divas,
Here are some glitter trees I made.
I just bought Styrofoam cones from Hobby Lobby for about 4-6$. Bought some glitter from there, you should buy a medium size jar as it takes a lot of glitter to cover the trees. I used Mod Podge to use as the base for the glitter. If you haven’t used Mod Podge, you must pick up some at your local craft store. It’s $7 usually, but it is so worth it. So I used Mod Podge and painted it on, then shook glitter over the cones with a paper plate underneath to reuse excess glitter. Then I picked up 2 glass candle holders from Dollar Tree, and hot glue gunned them on. Wala, beautiful Christmas decorations… GLITTERFIED.
Happy Holidays

New word I came up with. Today I went to the Apple store to fix my macbook’s disc drive that was effed up. 150 dollars and an hour later…jk it was under warranty. But I did have to drive to Orlando. Oh well. An hour away fixes the macbook away. I spent 60 dollars at Sephora on more Lorac eyeshadow. Woops. Now the real reason I’m writing this post…baby names for a friend. It’s a boy. Any ideas ? So far I like Cameron and Gabriel…but she’s picky. help! ?
I am in love with my children. I found myself second guessing kindergarten at first because it is hard. They are 5 years old, 5 on IEP plans, and 4 retentions. 18 all together. And FIVE years old. They came into the class knowing so little about everything let alone life skills. At a title 1 school- low economic status— kindergarten teachers usually are doing everything on their own with little help from parents because guess what, normally they don’t care about their child’s school, it’s a place that they drop them off at for 8 hours a day. These teachers teach the children manners, respect, and everyday things. The progress I have seen is phenomenal. So yes, kindergarten isn’t the easiest. But with a lot of intervention, and the use of different strategies the KIDS will SUCCEED. One of my attention deficit; not diagnosed; did so well today when he worked individually with me. Another one with occupational trouble with his hands, cut and glued his heart out. He wrote his a’s in that apple tree too. Half of you know nothing of what I’m even referring to…but the main point is… I can’t wait to be teaching on my own.
